The christian waldschmidt homestead is managed by dar volunteers. The majority of the funding for the upkeep comes from the ohio dar members dues as well as donations and investment income (more than 1500 individuals are involved annually in tours and activities). The state regents project curently involves replacement of yankee gutters and repair of the windows in the christian waldschmidt homestead. Her goal also includes repainting and repair of the dining room in tamassee dar school dining hall (5000-10000). ohio chapters send contributions for projects relating to the national society including president general project. National junior projects, dar approved schools, nsdar newsletter relating to ohio activities and historical projects, project patriot and other projects of the national society. The ohio society has contributed state regent project funds and individual chapter contributions to the national society.
