Moar acquired its site and facility in september 2010. Demolition of the building that had been on the site occurred in the summer of 2014 and site preparation and excavation began in the fall of 2014. Building construction is scheduled for completion in september 2016 and the planned opening for the museum is early 2017. Moar will explore the entire story of the american revolution (the "project") through the display of its distinguished collection of objects, artifacts, works of art, and manuscripts from the american revolution era, multi-media experiences, short films, and large-scale dioramas. In addition, moar will offer programming, lectures, symposia, and interactive learning for teachers, students, and the general public. Moar has acquired conditional commitments of $93. 5 million for the construction and operations of the museum.
