Mission: The National Alliance on Mental Illness is a grassroots organization dedicated to improving the lives of persons and their families affected by mental illness through education, advocacy, support and research
Results: We are increasing our outreach daily. We have new schools, libraries and individuals who are taking advantage of all we have to offer. It's a pleasure expanding our NAMI CCNS membership and community.
Target demographics: Anyone in the Cook County northwest suburban area whose life is affected by mental illness, whether as an individual with an illness, family member, caregiver, friend, ally, employer, employee, etc.
Direct beneficiaries per year: We serve well over 1000 people annually be it in person in our classes or presentations, or users of our "warm line" who need help, encouragement, and resources.
