I dropped by a concert that was part of the Nahant Music Festival on June 7th at the Ellingwood Chapel located in the Nahant town cemetery. It was a last minute thing. My companions and I didn't have any money on hand. The concert was just beginning. The lady at the door kindly let us in.
It was the Bach Cantata Concert by the Vocal Apprentices with orchestra members of Emmanuel Music. By "Vocal Apprentices", I thought it would be mediocre. Was I ever wrong!
Every singer had me sitting on the edge of my seat. What a thrill! Bach is a favorite of mine to hear. The singers and musicians did him justice.
I promised the lady at the door and myself I would give something to show my appreciation. Late maybe but not too late I hope.
Thanks for a perfectly wonderful experience.
