I have had many experiences with this nonprofit and so very impressed with the work Dorothy does. I would love to see this work expand and ask others to check out and help the ministry.

Dorothy is amazing in what she does. She has helped so many of the homeless and I know her voice has been heard. She helps so many, me being one of them. I always wonder how she does this day after day helping so many people. She also is amazing at what she does for the animals. She does so much more than alot of us can even imagine. I'm so proud to share her story and to watch her succeed at helping others on a daily basis. She truly is my hero

My Life Directive gives me a sense of security knowing this vital information is kept someplace else besides my purse, my husbands wallet or in a drawer at home. It has always been somewhat unsettling when asking myself what if. Now I no longer have to worry about the what ifs. My husband and I both enrolled we wear our MLD # engraved in our wedding bands and go about lives with a feeling of security and safety. A brilliant idea !

I am the secretary of the My Life Directve Foundation, and a board memeber. I love what I do, I love what we do. People need this Organization, and they don't seem understand how important it is to their comfort of mind. Imagine that someone in your family just up and disppeared. You have no idea where they are, where they went, or what happened to them. The next thing you know it is four years later and you find out that this family member is now a vegetable in some other state, getting just the bare minimum care because no one knew who they were or that they may have had better insurance to provide the care that would have prevented that vegetative state they can not come back from, or worse yet, they could die alone. This organization was founded as a non profit because everyone should have it and no one should have to pay to make sure they don't die alone. Financially or emotionally. Every one loves someone, everyone dies, and no one wants to die alone. These are the three things that tie everyone to this foundation. This foundation is getting publicity all over the place, not just in the United states either, we've been spotted in a few other countries. We need as many peope as possible to sign up for member ship as it is a free service, we also need donations for our tech support, and of course all donations are tax deductable. Thank you for your support.

This is such a great idea! If you have an elderly family member that lives alone or a student that is off to college, this is just a smart move. I signed up using the info I was comfortable with and feel a lot more comfortable that if there is an emergency, I stand a much better chance of being contacted and put in touch with my loved ones. I highlyrecommend that you sign up for this service and donate, if possible. This is the kind of stuff we need to make sure sticks around.

I think that this site is so beneficial to everyone. I have signed up and encourage everyone to do so. I know that if there comes a time that I am unable to speak or care for myself that my information will be easily accessible to the Doctors and Hospital and that my family will be notified quickly. I highly recommend signing your entire family up as soon as possible.

September 28, 2001 my mother passed away at a hospital about 2 hours away from us. My mother was always known to be VERY independent and would come as well as go whenever she wanted; despite her being paralyzed and having paralysis that took over her left side….

Nevertheless, I got a call from the hospital telling me my mother was dying and she had been in the hospital for 3 days and woke up enough for them to get the home number from her over the past few days. She had a cell phone, but the cell managed to stay off more than on no matter how many times I told her to keep it on, but if my mother never woke up those times to share the home number I would not have NEVER known she was even there and they would NOT have known how to contact me…..

If this system was available years ago just maybe I could have gotten in contact with my mother’s own physician who knew how to work with her medical issues much better and just maybe my mother would have made it a few more years…I will NEVER know the answer to that, but it always sit in the back of my mind….

If you have parents still alive I would suggest that you take the time to utilize this service for them, so that you NEVER have to deal with the unimaginable.

BLESSINGS 2 you all…xo

Its comforting to know that your loved ones will rest assured knowing your well being is taken care of in case of an emergency. Especially if time has past and you have lost contact with that person. I think its a valuable service.

My Life Directive Foundation provides a service that is necessary and valuable for everyone at anytime. As a Veteran of the U.S. Military and Medic I know how often medical emergencies occur where the patient is unable to speak for themselves and may even be unconscious. Further, homelessness in America has grown tremendously during these tough times. Entire families are desolate due to economical strain or national disasters and therefore more susceptible to emergencies and mishaps. This service provides loved ones the security of maintaining a connection in case of emergency. I recommend everyone register with MLD because no one deserves to die alone!

My Life Directive Foundation is not only a registry for advance directive or emergency contact information. Its so much more ! It offers Veteran and People of the homeless community a opportunity to elect an individual or an agency to speak on their behalf in the event that they are not able to do so. It allows children in the foster system to have one specific place to keep and maintain their medical records as they move around. It allows families to stay closely connected during a time of crisis while living together or far apart. My Life Directive can keep an ID on you if your wallet or purse get away from you with the free engraved ID we provide. My Life Directive is multifaceted but applies to everyone in 3 specific way. Everyone loves someone, Everyone is going to die, and no one wants to die alone.
