Mission: Music Workshop was created by a group of parents and educators from Portland, Oregon to bring more music education opportunities to K-8 students throughout the US and beyond. It has been our mission to educate, inspire and motivate students through the art of music. Our program intentionally exposes students to a broad spectrum of music so they become inspired to choose their own musical paths.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Over 500 hundred schools in the US and abroad
Programs: Our goal at Music Workshop is to bring more music to every student, everywhere. Music Workshop strives to educate, inspire and motivate students through creating and offering a free, supplemental music education program to all elementary and middle schools. It is an open education resource, available to all teachers for free. Music Workshop's courses are ready-to-go musical lesson plans that focus on the history and appreciation of many musical subjects!
