Mission: To preserve the rich past of long island, new york's aviation and aerospace heritage and inspire future generations in math, science, and engineering.
Programs: Visitor center: educating visitors including school groups and scouting organizations through the use of aviation and aerospace exhibits that detail the region's role in aviation's development from early fliers, lindbergh, to world war ii aircraft, through the landing on the moon.
education: providing educational classes to school groups in nassaucounty.
curatorial:the preservation of historical artifacts including aircraft and one of the three existing complete lunar modules, as well as the maintenance and security of the exhibition and the exhibit space.
theatre: films that bring to life many areas of science, including, but not limited to: engineering, aerospace, biology, and physics.
