Mission: The museum of northwest art connects people with the art, diverse
Programs: Mona collects and exhibits contemporary art from across the northwest, including alaska, british columbia, california, idaho, montana, oregon and washington. The museum is the steward for over 2,300 objects, which represent a wide range of mediums including painting, glass, photographs, prints, and more. Mona also houses a growing archives and is in the process of digitizing the objects so that the information is available to the public.

The mona store offers contemporary jewelry, art books, home decor, and handmade objects by more than 100 northwest artists. Proceeds from the mona store support the development of new exhibitions and educational programs.
the museum of northwest art engages with its surrounding communities through a variety of education programs. Mona link provides comprehensive art education for students from pre-k to middle school. Since 2003, the program has served 7,796 students and provided training for 144 teachers in skagit, whatcom and upper snohomish counties. Mona's outreach program is designed to promote the creative expression and education of our diverse community through tours, art-making activities, and talks offer
