Mission: The purpose of this organization is to provide a central agency through which the efforts and activities of member units may be co-ordinated; 1. To more effectively promote mountain safety education 2. To provide integrated mountain rescue service 3. To promote the free exchange of rescue techniques and procedures 4. To disseminate advances in equipment, and 5. To promote standardization thereof as much as possible 6. To further the purposes as are desirable effect the above basic intent.
