Programs: Project naf: program service accomplishments fifty-four (54) pregnant women served. Initial assessments completed on new enrollees 54 pregnant/post-partum women educated through an evidence-based curriculum- - partners for a healthy baby home visiting curriculum. Research/evidence-based, practice-informed curriculum used by many home visiting models to meet their program goals including improving birth outcomes, reducing rates of child abuse, strengthening families, enhancing child health and developmental outcomes, and promoting family stability and economic self-sufficiency. The curriculum addresses issues of child health and development within the context of the multifaceted needs of expectant and parenting families. This evidenced-based curriculum stresses the importance of prenatal and early childhood development and the power of early family relationships.
54 women received: 10 one-on-one care/case coordination services 10 baby items & incentives during project naf empowerment- - skill-building/educational sessions 10 participants received basic needs (food, clothing) based on an individual and designated need 10 car seats (based on need) to ensure safety precautions for newborn deliveries forty (54) project naf participants educated on the importance of: a. Tobacco use/smoking cessation and eliminating secondhand smoke exposure
