To reduce air pollution in the Houston region to protect public health and environmental quality through research, education and advocacy.
Programs: Mothers for Clean Air (MfCA) conducts education on air quality through monthly public programs, "Ozone Theater" in schools, quarterly newsletters, tabling events, a website, and an e-mail list. MfCA advocates for clean air at the local, state and national levels. MfCA also builds chapter organizations in communities with high levels of air pollution and empowers residents to identify, prioritize, and begin to solve their environmental justice issues.
