Cardiology provided 22,843 diagnostic exams to both in-patient and out-patient populations. Tests included ekg's, echocardiograms, exercise stress, nuclear stress and holter monitoring. Approximately 1,215 diagnostic and interventional cardiac exams were performed utilizing the latest technology in angioplasty, drug eluting stents and closure devices. Approximately 24 peripheral vascular procedures were performed. The cardiopulmonary rehab department provided services to 1,913 patients through phase i, phase ii, and phase iii sessions. Morristown-hamblen added one additional interventional cardiologist to the medical staff in february 2016.
