This great humane society seems to do all it can with limited funds and volunteers. I volunteered at the thrift store in 2013 as a handy man. The items that were given to the thrift store were in great condition but needed to be cleaned or tweaked. Before, I volunteered many of the items given to the store were thrown away by other volunteers because they were dirty or they were too lazy!!. At the end of the day, I felt that i was making a difference for the money that was collected was given to the poor and other foundations that help the needy.
The volunteers were treated with respect, and seemed to be honestly valued by the staff members. It was a great experience. I think that if you would like to donate some items to help the poor this will be a great place to start. Since that experience, I started spending more time with my family. In addition, I developed a strong bond with my son.
