Mission: Early education of low income children
Programs: Head start program funds are used to achieve mission by supporting and enhancing the nurturing skills of parents, preparing children to start public schools ready to learn, and providing children with the health care they need, with examinations, treatment, immunizations and nutritious meals. Head start program also receives donated services and facilities of $233,162. The head start grants require a 20% matching for the head start program. These goods and services are valued and recorded at the prevailing wage rate for donated services and at the estimated fair market value for goods.
