community services - in 2017, hundreds of public and private school students, civic groups, camps, adult communities, and individuals have participated in the organization's humane education programs. The certified pet therapy teams routinely visit nursing homes, public & private schools, hospitals, and adolescent/adult special needs facilities throughout the community. The organization operates a thrift store and also a pet pantry which provides food and supplies to low income families. The pet pantry program assisted over 1,000 people in 2017.
law enforcement - in 2017, the animal cruelty department investigated 425 incidents of animal cruelty and neglect. There were 35 summons issued and 14 convictions.
