The Model T Automotive Heritage Complex Inc. is one of the most committed and hard-working organizations I have worked with. They spend countless hours restoring this National Historic Landmark through volunteers and limited resources. In 2009 they were awarded a Housing and Urban Development Grant for $ 230,000 to install a fire suppression system in the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant. In that this grant was federal an outside agency administered the project. I sat on the board of the organization that served as the fiduciary on the project. All work was competitively bid out. The project was completed and audited. The fire suppression system has been upgraded since the grant and was tested by the City of Detroit Fire Department in the fall of 2017. The fire alarm system is tested annually. I was very impressed with the professional manner in which the project was conducted.

Review from Guidestar
The Ford Piquette Plant daily violates United States Labor Laws by willfully creating a hostile work environment. The President and Executive Director will routinely use intimidation tactics, threats of violence, and violent behavior against volunteers and employees. The Ford Piquette Plant has no interest in preventing these workplace conditions. There are no existing harassment tools provided by the employer.
