I love this mission of hope and access, RTTM vision of putting on for its community by introducing them to new industries, individuals, and ideas is fantastic. They bring minority executives from major corporations like Delta and Comerica to speak to the youth in the program. They also have an excellent production and media arts program for teens to do all sorts of cool stuff.
My grandchildren are part of this program; they get to do so many exciting things that others don't get to experience. I am blessed they are a part of this fantastic organization.
My son started the org and I couldn't be prouder of him. I had a chance to take the group up to Michigan State University and to see the growth within those students was a joy.
This program has been a blast to be a part of; I have had the opportunity to volunteer and watch the growth of students and staff. This program is worth connecting with. I implore others to seek this group out if you're looking to get connected with Detroit Youth
RTTM Community Center is truly making a difference by shaping the next generation of performers, storytellers, and leaders. It’s a gift to the community, and I highly recommend supporting their work or attending one of their inspiring performances. This organization is a shining example of how the arts can change lives.
RTTMCC is a very special organization that really helps Detroit's community shine. Its media arts program Que Blackout helps Detroit's youth build confidence and technical skillsets in areas not offered by other nonprofits in the city. It fills a gap in the need for a special type of education and is helping to bridge the digital gap that our community faces. AJ Lockett, the Executive Director of RTTMCC is the most dedicated and welcoming person; he has made a truly safe and comfortable space for neighbors and especially the young people of Detroit. RTTMCC is a true family that is always accepting new members!
My first interaction with RTTM Community Center was at the health fair they conducted. Unlike other health fairs I’ve seen over the years this one was upbeat and interesting with people from the local hospitals but also people from the Detroit health department. These were people and departments that I didn’t know existed. There was music and lots of laid back talking. The icing on the cake was when the ice cream truck came! Me and my grand kids had a great time and learned a lot.
Working with a talented team and teens it is amazing how far this organization has come, and where it's going.
Que blackout has been a great experience for me. I have been with this organization for about 2 or 3 years and it has been wonderful. All of our plays and showcases have been very fun and they have also helped me get out of my comfort zone. I think that many kids like myself could really enjoy their time with Que blackout.
I love the pastor of the church he always keeps it real and is down to earth and they always have events to give back to the community like the health drive they did last Saturday and when Halloween comes they give out treats for the kids they also have Mother’s Day brunches and also the women at the church do dinners for Father’s Day and this church has helped me before they raised money to help me get my daughter back from another state she is a member here also her and her godmother this is really a strong church family and the way he preaches you feel it in your soul Love You Bishop
