Nonprofit Overview

Mission: Miracles of Hope Inc. mission to make a difference in the lives of people with diabetes and the complications associated with the disease. Our goal is to use any all means including nutrition, personal trainers, education, technology and Miracle Dogs to insure everyone lives a happy healthy life #untilthecure. It is Through your generosity we are able to provide grants and direct support to individuales and families to accomplish this mission. In the future we hope to raise enough money to provide not only the dog but the training for free. Miracles of Hope does not breed or train these wonderful dogs. We raise money to help the families acquire them. Our role is to set the training standards and insure each family receives a dog properly trained. We do however directly work with Rescue Village to acquire the dogs and have them tested before they are released to be trained for potential clients. We enforce training services and methods used to train the dogs by a committee. This is to insure each dog is trained to high standards and in the same fashion each time. Miracle Dogs is a brand name that we allow to be used once the dog has completed the training and testing we require. Diabetes education for the family of a newly diagnosed diabetic. Financial assistance to help make training of a Miracle Dog and our #saveapuppysaveachild program. Assistance with medical equipment and supplies like continuous glucose monitors and test strips. Miracles of Hope Inc. and it's partners test and rescues puppies from High Volume Shelters, transports them to our training facilty and begin thier training to become miracle dogs. The Dogs are given to the family free of charge but the family is required to pay for the training. As we recieve donations we make training grants available in the form of matching dollars. We provide support in helping families meet other families to create a nationwide support and mentoring program. We partner with proven compnaies that provide products and services that will help stabilze and prolong the helath and welfare of people with diabetes until a cure is found. Every donation from you will help us help diabetics and their families. Thank you for you generosity. Miracles of Hope is a 501c3 orginization. Focused on providing assistance to both children and adults facing the challenges and changes in lifestyle associated with diabetes and the complications associaated with the disease.

In 2008 my son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. In 2011 his insulin pump malfunctioned and he went into a coma for 3 days. In 2012 I learned about diabetic alert dogs. I was so excited. I thought I had found the perfect place to get my son a D.A.D. But it didn't work out. After going through yet another place, we found Miracles of Hope. Robert was amazing. He helped me to get everything ready including the mindset of what it was going to take to get and train a Diabetic Alert Dog for my son. That was in 2013. On April 4th 2014 we met Brett the Miracles of Hope trainer at the airport to meet Hawk, my son's Miracle Dog, for the first time. He started alerting after just 2 weeks. I worked with him a lot because they have to transfer from alerting on scent samples to the actual child, but Hawk did amazing. I cannot put into words how much I appreciate Miracles of Hope and what they have done for us. I can finally sleep at night.

To whom it may concern,
In the summer of 2012 I had moved to the west coast of Florida. I am a 47 year old man who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 9 years old. I am a fragile diabetic and very concerned about being alone because I had suffered many low blood sugar experiences in which I had gone unconscious and slipped into diabetic comas. By the grace of God himself I was found and revived. But now I was all alone and the chances of being revived in that state were greatly lessened. I looked into several companies about getting a diabetic alert dog that could alert to high and low blood sugars. After being lied to and quoted extremely high prices I had given up on the idea. I had even been robed of a thousand dollars by one of the companies. A representative from JDRF had told me about Miracles of Hope. I apprehensively contacted Robert Fulton, the founder of Miracles of Hope. Over several phone calls he explained the process to me and the price was much more affordable and they even helped me raise the money for the dog. In an in-person meeting with Robert and his daughter who is a type 1 diabetic herself, I had actually seen their own Miracle dog alert to a change in blood sugar. I was convinced and agreed to get my dog from Miracles of Hope. Several months later they delivered Stella to me. I have had her for nine months and she has alerted me many times and actually even reviving me from an unconscious state and even one time got help from my neighbor when I was unconscious. She has saved my life several times, but more than that she has become my best friend. She is with me twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week and she has not only become a part of my life, but she is a part of me. Miracles of Hope also helps the families of those suffering from type 1 and type 2 diabetes in many other ways. I highly recommend Miracles of Hope for any diabetic or anyone suffering from a silent illness. They saved my life as I'm sure they have many others.
Sincerely,
Brian Lederman
