Programs: Fiscal agency programs:3m twist program - the foundation is a fiscal agent for an education program supported by 3m. The foundation processed payments in the amount of approximately $196,000 in 2014 in this program and received an annual administrative fee of $9,000 in 2014.
mentoring and other program activities:the minnesota high tech foundation is actively engaged to create mentoring experiences and relationships which connect students with experienced professionals in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (stem). Internships/student engagement - the minnesota high tech foundation works with our partners and members in the business community to create internships for higher education students in the stem fields. We provide information concerning these opportunities via the website as well as a resource guide for students seeking opportunities within the stem fields.
scholarship programs:the foundation manages a scholarship program focused on college students studying science, technology, engineering and math (stem). Currently there are three components: foundation scholarships, named scholarships and research inc scholarships. The foundation raises funds for the foundation and named scholarships; these scholarships are awarded to students studying in stem fields in minnesota accredited colleges and universities. The foundation also manages the research inc program which was established through a donation by research inc in 2000. Three scholarships are awarded to engineering students at the college of science and engineering at the university of minnesota based upon criteria established by research inc.
