Mission: We provide exceptional choral music instruction and performance experiences that foster creativity, personal expression and social growth.
Results: MCC classes and rehearsals are child-centered, educational, and age appropriate. MCC educates the whole child, and works to teach beyond music by incorporating important life skills such as poise, self-confidence, focus, problem solving, and teamwork into its curriculum. Experts say that singing in a choir has a remarkably positive impact on children. Choir parents agree with the experts, and our choristers simply say how much fun it is to be a part of the choir!
Target demographics: children in grades K4-12
Geographic areas served: southeastern Wisconsin
Programs: MCC provides 32 weeks of choral instruction to youth grades K4-12 from 7 counties and more than 150 schools. MCC teaches through performance. It presents 4-5 major shows each season. And because of collaborations with others, MCC singers are featured in more than 40 performances each season. Through music instruction and performance, choir members learn teamwork, discipline, grace under pressure, responsibility and other life skills. They have an outlet for their creativity, they learn to better express themselves, and they further their social skills.
