Mission: The organization's mission is to provide funding and operational support to oversee certain aspects of the design, restoration, maintenance and preservation of millennium park.
Programs: Millennium park foundation (mpf) provides support for programs and activities that contributed to millennium park's success in delivering over 500 annual programs. Mpf provides annually support to the park in many ways including; curating and maintaining public art such as the crown fountain and cloud gate, curating and installing public sculpture exhibitions in the boeing galleries, maintaining and programming the lurie garden, funding the mcdonald's cycle center, supporting summer and winter exercise programs, and sponsoring the family fun festival. Mpf assists the city of chicago with many other free cultural programs at the park. The support provided by mpf is essential for the park to be maintained at the highest standards and retain its standing as one of chicago's primary attractions for residents and visitors.
