Mission: The midwest component of the edward h. Angle society was formed on august 27, 1968. It is one of the seven regional component societies in the united states of the edward h. Angle society. It is also called angle midwest. Edward h. Angle was regarded as the "father of modern orthodontics- and in whose memory the society was formed. The purpose of the edward h. Angle society is to foster, support, encourage and advance the dental profession and speciality of orthodontics; to promote excellence in orthodntics; to design and conduct professional meetings at regular intervals for interprofessional discourse in research, clinical practice, and for the dissemination of current knowledge and practice principles in the speciality of orthodontics; to promote and encourage high educational standards for the education and motivation of orthodontists.
