Causes: Health, Nerve, Muscle & Bone Diseases

Mission: (a) to enable individuals with spinal cord injury and disease to achieve their highest level of independence, health and personal fulfillment by providing education, support services, advocacy and public awareness programs, injury prevention programs and research; (b) to operate exclusively for charitable, scientific, and educational purposes as set forth in section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code of 1986 (the "cose") without discriminating on the basis of race, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation or national origin; (c) to receive grants, gifts, devises and bequests and to hold, administer, and dispose of them exclusively for the accomplishment of the foregoing purposes; and (d) to engage in any and all lawful activities and to exercise any and all powers as may be necessary, incidental or helpful to the achievement of the foregoing purposes, except as restricted by the articles of incorporation or by law.
