Mission: Growing and building a healthier compton, one life at a time
Programs: Compton leaders internship program (clip) - year long leadership program for high school boys. In 2017 we offered a two week internship for 15 boys that provided them training in leadership, financial literacy, construction skills, culinary skills and gardening skills. The boys were involved in weekly classes and received mentoring on a monthly basis throughout the year. Compton community gardens a community driven program to develop and maintain sustainable community garderns that will provide incredible health benefits and resources. We currently have 2 community gardens and offer gardening classes and events on a monthly basis. Construction and discipleship (cad) entry level construction training with whole life mentoring. Approximately 25 young men were trained in basic construction skills while being mentored. Urban launch lab- entrepreneur and business training - we offered our 2 10 week business training classes with a total of 22 attendees who learned the steps to open and run a successful business.
