Causes: Arts & Culture
Mission: The mission of the melbourne art festival is (a) to organize, promote, and encourage artistic endeavors, education, and appreciation; (b) to advocate and support the improvement and betterment of the quality of life in our community; and (c) to sponsor an annual art festival in furtherance of both these ideals.
Programs: The 33rd annual melbourne arts festival was held april 22-23, 2017 and included an exhibition of fine art by 250 juried artists, a student art competition, free art workshops, ongoing musical entertainment, a 5k race, and hands-on arts and crafts area for children.
the melbourne art festival offers scholarships to brevard county students in grades 7 through 12 to attend classes, workshops, and camps (outside of school) to enhance their visual arts skills.
