Causes: Education
Mission: Mission Statement: Our mission is to create opportunities for all children across Chicago to develop a passion for mathematics.
Results: Math Circles of Chicago (MC2) is unusual in its approach to helping children develop a passion for mathematics. MC2 provides free, unique math enrichment programs outside regular school hours and across Chicago for 3rd - 12th graders of diverse backgrounds to help them excel in math in college and beyond. Our participants are demographically diverse: 51% are girls, and 74% are Black or brown. Since its founding, we have served over 11,000 students. Math Circles of Chicago is the largest math circle in the US (and the world). We served 4,000 students in the 2023-24 school year at 20 sites throughout Chicago.
