However, it has been more than two years since one of the most difficult and often tragic times in modern history—the pandemic—causes a huge collapse in performing arts industry: people cannot go to the theater/concert hall to listen to music even cannot share their music performance in-person, music schools were closed, professional musicians and university faculties in music major lost their jobs. Recognized as a part of performing arts industry, MAP has seen the duty to explore and look for new ways to re-build this industry. For MAP’s mission and purpose to build connections between different countries with different culture backgrounds and provide international platforms to people all over the world to communicate to each other with the universal language, music, MAP-ICEC has successfully sponsored and hosted an online music competition – MAP International Music Competition (MAP-IMC) – to provide an international platform for performing musicians in all age of the global community through internet, the modern technology.
