The study of science introduces students to a wide variety of science topics, including physical, life and earth science. Students are encouraged to develop scientific habits of inquiry, investigation, hypothesis, experimenting and recording results. The study of social studies and history begins with an introduction to us history in lower elementary, followed by the study of nys history, world geography and more advanced studies in us history in the middle school grades. The study of mathematics is taught through fact drill practice, mental math, teacher instruction, and guided and independent practice. Emphasis is given to understanding both the procedures and concepts of math. Math manipulatives are a regular part of daily instruction. Additional elements of their instruction includes spelling bee, speech meet, math olympics, music art, computer and gym classes.

We understand that true reading extends beyond decoding and fluency to comprehension and evaluation of the intended message of the text. Using foundations & frameworks, comprehension skills are taught in each grade using teacher modeling, quality literature, small group discussions, vocabulary instruction, and group presentations. the study of bible is foundational to our curriculum. Grades 1-6 used an integrative curriculum - building on the rock, which combines worldview training with bible survey. The worldview study progresses through foundational wisdom, relationships of students with god, self, others, and the earth. In grades 7-8, students apply their worldview training by examining current issues using bearers of the light.
