As a professor of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program, I recently had the privilege of taking my students on a field trip to Mane to Tail therapeutic riding center. This experience proved to be invaluable for their professional development and understanding of innovative therapy approaches.
The center is led by Melanie and Morgan, two dedicated speech therapists whose passion for their work is immediately evident. What sets Mane to Tail apart is their unique approach to therapy, combining traditional speech therapy techniques with equine-assisted activities.
During our visit, we had the opportunity to observe several sessions. My students witnessed real-world examples of how alternative therapy settings can enhance traditional speech therapy approaches.

Incredible people and incredible work.
Hippotherapy has been an extraordinary experience for my daughter. Her gross motor skills were delayed, and we turned to this therapy after trying various other methods to improve her mobility. The unique movements of the horse along with Melanie and Morgan's techniques provided her with the sensory input and physical engagement she needed to improve her balance. Melanie and Morgan are not only highly skilled but also incredibly compassionate, tailoring each session to meet her specific needs. I was so encouraged and impressed by the progress my daughter immediately made, I wanted to be part of this outstanding organization and am now on the board of Mane to Tail Therapy.
