Programs: Painted turtle studio offers art classes for children and adults. There were about 4,000 who took advantage of the studio in 2017.
mancos food share provides a community pantry for community members and also distributes monthly commodities from usda to eligible community members. Approximately 1,854 people were helped with commodity distributions.
mlk jr breakfast is an annual free community pancake breakfast to honor martin luther king, jr's birthday. 140 people were served in 2017.
mancos giving tree provides a connection for those in need of christmas gifts to match up with those willing to help. In 2017, 153 families were offered help.
mancos valley chorus presented eleven free concerts in montezuma and laplata counties. Over 1000 people attended the concerts in 2017.
mancos trails project worked with the town of mancos and southwest conservation corps to improve the local park. Plans are also underway for a 17-mile paths to mesa verde project. 1,407 residents of mancos plus visitors benefit from these projects.
friends of chicken creek cross country ski corp maintains the cross country ski area with equipment and labor through out the winter. In 2017, about 3,000 people used the ski runs.
pay it forward fund uses donated funds to assist residents in the 81328 zip code area that are in need of financial assistance. 28 people were helped in 2017.
mancos creative district partnered in holding a community harvest dinner, held a todo mundo concert at the opera house, was involved in mancos christmas and decorating the town, donated $500 to the mancos school for their playground equipment. The residents of mancos (1,200) were benefited this year.
mt lookout grange #338 has provided a welcoming space for educational and social events. Mlg has sponsored monthly community dinners, a family-oriented may pole celebration, free mlk jr pancake breakfast and community pig roast. 500 residents were served in 2017.
mvr provides community support for worthy causes through mini grants, fund raisers and sponsorships.
mancos school of the west provides arts and craft classes where students can learn from local artists.
