Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Human Services
Mission: To establish permanent and temporary residential services and programming for the developmentally disabled and the physically dependent.
Programs: Home and community-based services waiver program (hcbs) - provides supported services for individuals to remain in or return to the community. The service is up to 24 hours per day and assists consumer with daily living needs.
supervised/supported living - mainstream operates three apartment complexes which serve between 90 and 100 residents in polk county.
day habilitation/supported employment - the organization provides individualized training programs for adults with intellectual disabilities and mental illness in story and polk counties, in order to maximize independent functioning, improve quality of life, and integrate the individuals served into the community. Work and/or supported employment is provided which may lead to competitive employment.
