Mission: The purpose and objective of madrone audubon society, inc. Shall be to engage in any educational, scientific, investigative, literary, historical, philanthropic and charitable pursuits as may be part of the stated purposes of the national audobon society, of which this society shall function as a chapter.
Programs: Educational programs; breeding bird atlas program; christmas bird count; general membership meetings; junior audubon program; nesting support for a large santa rosa heron / egret nesting site; contributions to conservation science / bird rescue organizations; outreach programs; public nature walks; miscellaneous conservation programs.
madrone audobon society includes the following program:stewardship task force, located at sea ranch, ca, provides coastal stewardship through continuing research on nesting seabirds; educational walks, and educational articles.
approximately 2600 copies of an educational / informational newsletter were distributed to members each month except july and august. The newsletter "leaves" is edited by volunteers and printed by commericial printers.
