youth in-school and out-of-school program: mbwib worked in collaboration with central georgia technical college's adult education program in the development and launch of an accelerated ged program, "powerup," a six-month program designed to serve unemployed and unskilled high school drop outs between the ages of 19 and 21. The program takes young adults without a high school diploma, job, or skills, and in six months, assist them in getting a ged, an industry certification in advance manufacturing, work-ready certificate and a job through the on-the-job training program. Mbwib, inc. Collaborated with the bibb county school district, career technical agricultural education department to create career pathway plans and stackable credentials (high school diploma, industry certification, & college credits) for students 14-18 years of age who are not planning to attend college and who are at most risk of dropping out. Seven career coaches have been placed at each one of the seven bibb county high schools, where they connect students to career technical agricultural education opportunities.
