I wanted to give a cat a loving home but I had a hard time seeing cats in cages aka little prisons. I found Kitty City Cat Rescue and looked at the pictures and read about the cats available for adoption on their website. When I had narrowed my choices down to just a few I made an appointment and went to meet the cats. I ended up choosing a cat that was not on my list because I was able to interact with all of the cats because they weren't in cages.
Being able to see them play and see how they interact with other cats in a social environment made all the difference for me.
I loved Kitty City Cat Rescue so much that I became a volunteer. I am thankful for Kitty City!
The kitties at Kitty City Cat Rescue are treated like little kings and queens. They have medical care, a comfortable, clean and healthy environment. They are cage free and get lots of interaction and many toys to play with. They are adopted into loving homes after a thorough check on their adoptive family. Having been a volunteer for over six years, I can say this is one of the best!
I got my sweet baby from here! This is a fantastic, hardworking group of people who are dedicated advocates for their animals! They deserve so much more than five stars!

I love Kitty City Cat Rescue. My two girls are alums. When I went to get the first cat, I sat on the floor and waited. Cats came and went, but I was waiting for that special kitty who would claim me. The staff just let me be. It was pleasant and clean. Finally, a young cat climbed into my lap, nestled into my arms, and stayed. My second kitty was adopted a few years later. I told the shelter lady I was looking for a companion for the first, and she brought a cat and said, "This one never picks fights with anyone, and she's been here the longest. The lady handed her to me, and she seemed content, so I took her home. I love my girls, and I love KCCR. They vet pet parents properly and take good care of their feline residents.
The Middle Georgia area is blessed to have Kitty City Cat Rescue. They really care about the wonderful kittens and mature cats. They have an environment that encourages interaction and many adoptions. They have actually converted me from a dog mom to a cat mom. I was lured in with the handmade wreaths they sell as a fundraiser.....after visiting the cage free environment I was hooked.
Kitty City will always have a special place in my heart. I knew I wanted to rescue a cat and they were the perfect place for it. The volunteers are all so wonderful and have huge hearts to do what they do. They spend so much time and effort getting these kittens and cats the loving homes they deserve. They allowed me the privilege of adopting Fergie and she has been my best friend ever since.
I volunteered at Kitty City for a few months and absolutely loved it! The cats are so much fun as well as the other volunteers. Everything is very tidy and well managed! It broke my heart to have to leave! I have since stopped by and cuddled with the kittens and visited past volunteers. Before leaving I adopted an older cat, Max, he is so so sweet!!
Kitty City Cat Rescue is a great home for homeless kitties. They provide a loving environment for the kitties....some which may never have known kindness before they arrived at Kitty City Cat Rescue. There are cats that have been there for years and they continue to thrive at the rescue. This is a great, loving organization.

Kitty City Cat Rescue is an amazing location with wonderful staff and volunteers dedicated to saving animals. The hours for volunteering are very flexible, and it is easy to learn how to help! Other helpful roles include washing food and water bowls and doing laundry. If you love having playful kitties following you as you clean pens, sweep, and scoop litter, then this is the place for you!
Kitty City Cat Rescue is passionate about their work and mission; they 'do it right' by the kittens and cats they rescue. We adopted a kitten from them last February and learned first hand they are a worthy and impactful nonprofit agency. They are worthy of your philanthropic dollars, and I hope their reach only expands. Take a tour and you'll agree! Our kitten is named Leo -- and he's been an absolutely joyful addition to our home. (We are concerned, however, how he'll respond to live Christmas tree!)
