The Macon Rescue Mission is a Christian organization, that puts their donations to use, to save the lives of countless men suffering from addiction problems, who have reached the lowest point in their lives and want recovery. Donations (Clothing, food & financial) are accepted to pay for a residency requirement to help the men through recovery and to finding them jobs. The Mission also has The Dove Center, which houses abused women and children and sets them on a safe course to regaining their lives back. The Dove Center stays full most of the time and our ideal situation, would be to build a separate shelter for the women and children, on our property. Our Bargain Center on Napier Avenue, sells clothing, furniture toys, and other donated items to sustain our operations at the Rescue Mission. Jesus Cares is a sign that has become our longstanding ( since 1950) motto. Never let us forget the Mission pf rehabing the least, last and lost tho come through our doors.

Having worked with the Rescue Mission for many yesrs, I've seen so many, turn their lives to Christ, and turn from their addictions.
The women and children can escape from abusive relationships and find love and care at the Dove Center.
We want to expand that care and concern and be able to reach more women. and be the saving grace for these poor women and children, in the name of Jesus.
We care for the needy when food supplies dwindle and we give boxes out regularly. It is our Commission, to help the least, the last and the lost.
We do our best at the Mission.

The Macon Rescue Mission changes lives on a daily basis and is also focused on lifelong transformation. I have seen the staff get genuinely excited about the programs they offer the Macon community. There are countless testimonies to the services and programs the Mission provides. They love volunteers too, if you can spare some of your valuable time you won't regret it.

I have been a Maconite all of my life, and I've witnessed first hand how the Macon Rescue Mission has ministered to the needs of women and children. LIkewise, I've seen men who had no other place to turn get their lives turned around, find meaningful employment, and become productive citizens - all because of their connection with the Macon Rescue Mission.

Wayne Bevill was the driving force to bring the Mission into the mainstream of Macon and Central GA as he connected with affluent business people and solicited their financial help. The MRM reached beyond simply assisting the needy (though they have always done that better than any charitable organizations locally) to raising money to build a new facilty and house more families.

I have always been a huge fan of the mission's because of the way they meet the needs of people physically, emotionally, and especially spiritually.

I have know clients of the Macon Resuce Mission, who, because of the assistance they received, were able to get their lives back on track.
The Rescue Mission works to provide for both the physical needs and emotional/spiritual needs of their clients.
