Mission: Lowcountry Community Development Corporation, Inc. is the result of a 1997 initiative of the Hilton Head Island Foundation's Project and Initiative Committee. One purpose for the creation of the CDC was to fill identified gaps in service delivery. The Foundation Board provided grants of operating funds for the CDC's first two years of operation. The LCDC's mission is to enhance the quality of life and promote economic well being in the Lowcountry. Its services are not limited to any specific population.
