This is such an amazing organization that helps many people with addiction get back on their feet. I’m very thankful for this organization.
They helped me and my daughter in a very vulnerable time when we were in need from clothing and gas to finding a doctor and encouragement and support when I needed it the most. They are really helping my little family while helping me get back on my feet.
This organization is top knotch! They came along our project to assist the women in need in our community and we couldnt be more pleased! Alisha is amazing and made the process so easy and seemless. 10/10
Big shout out to Loula Foundation for touching lives in need one day at a time. I’ve reached out to many peers with very little complaints and with great progress. This gives me hope as a Recovery Support Peer Specialist, a person with lived experience. Loula has also walked with and guided me so I can be successful. This is far more than volunteer work. This is my story and I’m happy to say Loula is apart of my journey. Thank you Alisha for welcoming me with open arms and making me feel like family. And for the person seeking services. Most of the time it takes a village to help us get back on our feet!
Having a long history of childhood thru adulthood traumas from mental, physical, sexual and narcissistic abuses, unstable upbringing, zero stability, 30 schools by my senior year of high school, fears that tormented me and caused great sleeplessness throughout life, betrayal trauma, marriages that were disastrous to my children and me….
It’s not a wonder why I ended up with mental health issues, thoughts of ending my life, and addictions to anything that offered to numb me, provide a moment of comfort, or just to get some sleep.
I have had a long hard journey to get to where I am today, over 7 years sober and over 30 years clean.
All I ever wanted was to be loved and taken care of by those closest to me, yet the ones closest can hurt you the deepest.
Today I write this as a woman who refuses to give up, I refuse to be a victim, I refuse to pout, my motto is, KEEP MOVING FORWARD!!!
I am a mother to 5 amazing teens and young adults, step Mama to 2 now grown adults, and have fostered 21 children through the years.
I am called to help the hurting, and that is what I have to give.
I am honored to work with Loula Foundation because it is evident that everyone cares and cares deeply.
Loula Foundation is able to provide peer support for those who are struggling with addictions and LIFE. Sometimes life gets messy, painful, and even traumatic; having Loula as a part of your community is a smart decision. The attention to details that matters to people is evident in all the resources and help that Loula provides. I wish I had a Loula Foundation with all of these amazing people in my life when I was struggling just to make it to another day. Reach out to Loula, you don't have to do this alone!
I volunteer because I love helping people who need someone to walk with them through their journey like I needed one and was afraid to reach out for help.
I have joy, I have healing in my life, marriage and family relationships and I want that for you too!
How others can help Loula? Pray for The Loula Foundation and the wonderful staff and for their families, Volunteer, Donate (call Loula to see what all they need for the people and families they are serving, because helping to the degree Loula does, have cost) God bless you!!!
I've seen the difference Loula Foundation has made in the lives of countless families. What an awesome organization that helps keep families together in Southeast Texas!
I have known and worked with one of the cofounders for over 15 years. She is a God-fearing woman and is always looking at ways to help others. When she told me about her and her sister founding this wonderful organization, I jumped at the opportunity to become involved.
I grew up in a family where alcoholism was prevalent, as well as, abuse from a family member who wasn’t my parent. Nonetheless, when I married, he too was an abuser. I have had one of my children and grandchildren in abusive situations and addiction. I had to figure out how to help myself and my family members with little to no help. I did not have the opportunity to be helped by an organization that focuses on keeping families together and supporting other women. I see my volunteering as a way of giving back and paying it forward. I know my experiences with abuse and addiction will help others. I feel very fortunate to be apart of an extraordinary organization.
Wonderful foundation helping families survive and grow! I have witnessed several women receive assistance from Loula. Most of whom are now thriving as a result.
Incredible foundation with an even more amazing director!! Alisha goes above and beyond to make sure the community gets served and I strive more to be like her every day. Will be referring out to this company as much as possible!
Love this organization. Courtney B. Was an amazing supervisor for my case. She went above and beyond. Love that woman!
I was in a place where I had nowhere else to turn. And Loula Foundation, helped me continue to be in my home and take care of my son. Founders are awesome lady's also. And I was able to meet so many great contributions, at their fundraiser. I hope they can continue, to help people trying their best to help themselves. In a world that's not so easy sometimes.
Forever grateful. ❤️
I'm grateful for the assistance that Loula Foundation helped me with. It was definitely the extra help I needed to be able to stand on my own two feet while in the process of getting my children out of foster care. Thank you for all that you do for the community.
Loula has helped me so much, I love everything that they do, and everything they stand for. Proud of my recovery!
Loula Foundation Speak to me because I was an abused wife for over 10 years from 1977-1987. I Had no idea how to get out or where to start from after that if I did. I don’t remember ever hearing about a foundation that supports women of domestic violence or substance abuse to start their lives again. Had I known such an organization back then i would’ve felt so much more confident in my leaving. I also have one child who is a recovering alcoholic and addict and one who is an addiction right now. So I have had a lot of experience in both situations. In volunteering for this organization, I feel as if I could support someone who is in my same situation or my children’s situation Because I do have experience in those areas. It’s a wonderful organization to be a part of and for our community.
As a volunteer and Recovery Support Peer Specialist with the Loula Foundation, I have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the profound impact this organization has on individuals in need. The foundation is truly dedicated to supporting people in a variety of ways, offering resources, guidance, and a strong network of support for those navigating recovery and personal challenges. Whether you're someone seeking assistance or an individual looking to give back through volunteerism, the Loula Foundation provides a meaningful and welcoming environment for all. I encourage anyone who wants to learn more about our work or who may be in need of support to get involved—whether by volunteering or reaching out for help. We're here to serve, and we’re here for you.
This is an amazing organization that I support on a regular basis. I have witnessed many miracles through the Loula Foundation. Please visit their website for additional information. Loula is always accepting volunteers and donations to continue supporting families in need of assistance. Thank you.
