Mission: To assist rural health clinics and hospitals in obtaining necessary financing of equipment and facilities to enhance their ability to provide high-quality health care to residents of rural areas of the state of louisiana.
Programs: The louisiana rural health services corporation resulted from the robert woood johnson foundation's "southern rural access grant" (srag) and hrsa's "better health for the delta" grant awarded to southeast louisiana ahec. The required loan fund was coverted to a community development financial institution (cdfi) and is registered as such with the us treasury department. The purpose of the louisiana rural health services corporation is to make low interest rate loans to improve access to primary care in rural and underserved areas of louisiana.
