lhima provides workshops and an annual meeting to the ahima members of la. In order to keep updated with current material knowledge our delegates and president travel to ahima events to obtain this. The organization's purpose is to provide continuing education hours to la ahima members and affiliates. Education offered: icd-10 medical coding education and roundtables, workshops and presentations on hipaa privacy and security, management and leadership, thecnology and other areas, advocacy on implementation of i-10 and a unified patient identifier, annual business meeting per bylaws, newletter, updates to the ahima house of delegates and support of district affiliates.
