Mission: The Cashion Cultural Legacy is committed to sustaining the preservation, presentation, and education of Mexican folk culture through dance. Our mission is achieved by: 1) operating a professional Mexican folk dance company, 2) offering public dance classes, 3) operating an artist exchange, and 4) researching and documenting the art form.
Results: Founded in 1969, Los Lupeños de San José is recognized as one of the earliest Mexican folk dance companies in California. Los Lupeños is known for its artistry, history, traditions, innovation, and endurance. Los Lupeños artists are passionate about learning and executing their art form, representing their culture, and being a positive force within the California dance community. As a program of the Cashion Cultural Legacy since 2014, Los Lupeños is re-establishing itself at the forefront of the folklórico dance genre. www.loslupenos.org
