Words cannot express how resourceful this organization has been to so many families in Culver City and surrounding cities in Los Angeles county. The epitome of giving with no strings attached. Great group of staff and volunteers.

Living Waters West-LA (aka) A Child's Dream-CA Outreach has assisted so many children in need. They have two major annual events--the Back-to-School Outreach and their Holiday Outreach . During each event, children are provided important essentials like school supplies, new shoes, backpacks, socks, clothing, canned foods, and during the holidays board games, puzzles, age appropriate toys and even when available new bikes for children. This organization is caring and sensitive to the needs of children and their families.

January 2014 Living Waters- West L.A. renamed its' Outreach to A Child's Dream, for it is every child's dream to be cared for, protected and loved. Every child's dream is to be loved, protected and cares for, it is our responsible to let parents know that they are not alone in providing the essential needs of their children; we are here as their partners. We current,y have two (2) large events each year and are looking to double that in 2016.

Our mission is simple;“Helping to meet essential needs through practical means; one man, one household, one street, one community at a time.”

During our Annual Back to School Outreach, parents are not allowed to choose their children's shoes. I firmly believe that if a child chooses their shoes, they will wear them.

I first volunteered for a child's dream five years ago only to support my friend Cassandra Sampson. And that's all it took I was hooked. I love being able to help the kids I love seeing the smiles on their faces when they come in to get their backpacks to go back to school or personal hygiene products. These children are our future and we need to help them now so I'm happy to do whatever I can.
