Mission: The mission of the Living Coast Discovery Center is to inspire the community to connect with and care for our coastal environment.
Results: Since 1987, the Living Coast Discovery Center has provided a living interpretive experience while promoting coastal resource conservation and environmental stewardship through education. Accredited by the American Association of Museums, it is home to internationally recognized exhibits of plants and animals native to coastal, bay, and wetland habitats. Annually, the Living Coast welcomes over 70,000 visitors including 20,000 school children who explore more than 30 interactive exhibits.
