Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Human Services
Mission: The mission of lighthouse recovery services is to restore productive lives through effective mentoring, education and monitoring in an environment that facilitates breaking the cycle of substance abuse and addiction and addiction-related crimes.
Programs: Lighthouse recovery services received 220 referrals for services during 2012. Of these, approximately 75 participants received the following services: a mentor who is active in aa/na and who provides daily contact and support; instruction in recovery dynamics, classes in ged preparation, life-skills training, anger management, and family dynamics. Physical and mental health issues are also addressed and services are made available through local community programs. The majority of participants are indigent and costs to the participants for assessments, program participation fees, education materials, mandatory drug-testing and rent for residential participants are subsidized by grants.
