Causes: Child Day Care, Children & Youth, Domestic Violence, Family Violence Shelters, Homeless & Housing, Single Parent Agencies
Mission: To eliminate the cycle of homelessness through a program for homeless families which offers transitional housing, educational and employment support, life skills programs, and children's services that foster the development of self-esteem, self-sufficiency, and economic independence. Our services are provided in a continuum with lighthouse of oakland county, inc. And its subsidiaries (lighthouse emergency services-emergency needs and lighthouse community development-homeownership and financial education).
Programs: Lighthouse path - programs provide homeless families a safe, controlled, and nurturing environment as a stepping stone to return to a productive and self-sufficient lifestyle. Participants are referred by local womens' shelters.
childcare program - lighthouse path offers a "tlc program" which provides a children's day-care center for residents of lighthouse path and others who qualify.
