Mission: Exceptional adventures supports people by providing services that promote choice, personal satisfaction, and the realization of their hopes and dreams.
Programs: Lifeways, inc. D/b/a exceptional adventures, operates a supervised recreational travel service made available to adults w/ intellectual disabilities. Through this service, lifeways offers a wide variety of excursions & travel opportunities designed to assist guests in participating in recreational and leisure experiences through community -integrated activities. These excursions & travel experiences create specialized opportunities for persons with intellectual disabilities to participate in recreational & social activities that might not otherwise be available to them, thus broadening their horizons & providing respite for their families & caregivers. The recreational/ travel service provides 24-hour supervision with staff & volunteers in each room or nearby for guests w/ increased independence.
