Mission: We released our first LP recording in 1979, and since that time, we have introduced music by nearly 90 women composers extending all the way back to the 12th Century. We also champion (mostly contemporary) works by both men and women. We reach a much larger audience than concerts do, and our music has been broadcast on hundreds of radio stations around the world. We?ve sold tens of thousands of recordings, many to schools, libraries, and teachers, and one CD set is a supplement for a textbook. Of the thousands of people that visit our website monthly, more than 1100 people spend in excess of sixty minutes there each month, listening to audio samples and reading bios. Most of our music can be found nowhere else, i.e., on no other label, although a number of works we introduced have since been performed and recorded by other performers, one sign of our success.
Programs: Recording production and distribution. This was addressed in our Mission statement above.
