Causes: Disaster Aid, Public Safety, Disaster Preparedness & Relief
Mission: The foundation's mission is to provide funding and resources for fire departments to obtain the highest level of equipment, technology and training.
Programs: The foundation, based in new york, works with fire departments to target, develop, and fund equipment, training, technology and facilities that fall outside the funding capabilities of city and municipalities fiscal budgets. In addition, the foundation, in partnership with mcs, continues to provide fire service leadership programs, which focuses on helping response leaders build more cohesive, adaptive, and resilient teams; teaches principles for leading in high-risk and high-stress environments; how to build team cohesion; and how to resolve conflicts and problems within the team.
