Mission: Learn Shop is an innovative ,volunteer based, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, anti-poverty, recycling charity. Through its video tape on effective grocery shopping techniques it empowers the economically challenged to be independent of pantries. With sponsors the video is provided to helping agencies.
Learn Shop's Motto is an ancient proverb: Give A Man A Fish Feed Him For A Day; Teach Him How To Fish, Feed Him For Life.
The economically challenged are taught how to shop from grocery store to store at the beginning of the month; as opposed to going from church pantry to pantry at the end of the month. The first will empower and restore the second will continue the pain of deprivation. The video changes waiting rooms into classrooms.
Learn Shop achieves this with the assistance of individuals, clubs, faith communities and corporations who sponsor videos for anti-poverty helping organizations to utilize in their programs. The success of Learn Shop is through basic home economics and recycling of resources; applied on a massive scale to combat challenging social problems.
