Mission: To nurture, celebrate and preserve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (lgbt) literature through programs that honor excellence, promote visibility and encourage development of emerging writers.
Programs: Lambda literary awards - an annual award gala honoring authors of lgbt books which have been reviewed by a panel of experts and selected for their excellence in writing.
writers' retreat - a week-long retreat offering lgbt writers the chance to be immersed in fiction, nonfiction, or poetry, and to learn from other lgbt writers and publishing industry professionals.
the lambda literary review - providing the public with a website dedicated to lgbt book reviews, author interviews, and book news.
