Causes: Animals, Environment, Land Resources Conservation, Wildlife Preservation & Protection
Mission: To preserve, protect, and enhance the 20,000 acre south coast wilderness, bringin together government, land managers, the public, and school children to work in partnership on behalf of open space in our increasingly urban country.
Programs: Stewardship, volunteers, and park support: supports laguna coast wilderness park and aliso and wood canyons wilderness park. Volunteer & stewardship activities including habitat restoration, trail maintanance and infrastructure programs.
south coast wilderness education program: this program introduces over 5,000 underserved and local youth to the wilderness area every year.
parkland acquisitions and nature center support program: supports the purchase of additional wilderness land to be added to park and provides funding to the purchase of new nature center exhibits.
